NEW BEDFORD (1420 WBSM) — A New Bedford woman was arrested over the weekend after a search of her apartment turned up over 80 grams of fentanyl.

According to New Bedford Police, detectives executed a search warrant on Saturday, October 1 at 16 Jouvette Street, Apartment 3, targeting Marilyn Gonzalez, 58.

Police said detectives located four bags of fentanyl weighing 42 grams, 18 plastic bags of fentanyl weighing 46 grams, 14 suboxone strips, and $2,579 in cash.

Gonzalez was arrested and charged with trafficking 36 grams or more of fentanyl, as well as possessing a Class B drug.
