A New Bedford man is under arrest after stealing power tools, and then trying to unload them on their rightful owner.

According to the Standard Times, 49-year-old David Andino of Vine Street was in a South End bar Monday morning, trying to sell power tools when he caught the attention of another man at the bar. The potential buyer became interested in Andino's stock, since he knew his friend's vehicle was broken into earlier that morning at Lowe's in Dartmouth.

The friend made arrangements for Andino and the owner of the tools to meet, and when they did, the owner identified the tools as the ones stolen from his vehicle, and called police.

Andino has been charged with receiving stolen property more than $250. He also has several default warrants for drug and theft charges.
