New Bedford Man Found Guilty of Sexual Facebook Messaging with a Minor
A New Bedford man is found guilty of sending hundreds of sexually graphic messages to a minor over Facebook.
Gregg Miliote, spokesperson for Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn's office, says a Superior Court Jury convicted 54-year-old David Gould today of enticing a minor and dissemination of matter harmful to a minor.
Gould was accused of exchanging hundreds of sexually graphic Facebook messages with a 12-year-old boy in February of 2013. Gould is being held for sentencing on November 23. Miliote says each charge carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison.
Gould was the founder of the now-defunct website whalingcity.info. He was also a member of the former activist group Citizens in Action for Progress.
