New Bedford Man Found After Bizarre Kidnapping

The man who was abducted from his girlfriend's North End apartment yesterday has been found.

New Bedford Det. Capt. Steve Vicente tells WBSM News John Sylvia was found over 100 miles away in East Hartford, Connecticut. Vicente says Sylvia's captors dropped him off in Connecticut, with his hands zip-tied behind his back.

Sylvia told police he walked to a nearby 7-11 convenience store, where Connecticut police were informed of his situation.

Sylvia sustained minor injuries.

Police are still on the look out for the two men who impersonated police officers when they kidnapped Sylvia.
