A New Bedford man is facing drug trafficking charges. Narcotics Detectives arrested 37 year old Philip Ivy on Tuesday.

Police say they found in his Arnold Street apartment 159 grams of cocaine, worth about $16,000 on the street. Police also recovered more than $3,000 in cash.

Ivy is being charged with trafficking cocaine and faces a mandatory sentence of eight years in prison, and fines no less than ten-thousand dollars.

He was arraigned this week in New Bedford District Court.
