NEW BEDFORD - A New Bedford man has been ordered held without bail after allegedly shooting a teenager Tuesday morning.

21-year-old Tevin Cardoza-Dias was arraigned on multiple charges Tuesday afternoon in New Bedford District Court after being arrested for shooting a 17-year-old male juvenile in the foot late Tuesday morning at Kempton and Cook streets.

According to court documents, Cardoza-Dias admitted to New Bedford police he was the gunman Tuesday before his arraignment.

Cardoza-Dias will appear in court Wednesday where a lawyer will be appointed to him and a date for a dangerousness hearing will be set.
