
New Bedford Police: Alleged Stabbing ‘Minor Cut,’ Didn’t Happen on School Grounds
NEW BEDFORD (WBSM) — New Bedford Police are investigating an incident that occurred today in which one child caused a minor cut to another child.

The account later said “the stabbing was very minor” with a “superficial injury to (the) arm.” It noted that the “mother refused medical treatment for her son.”
New Bedford Police confirmed to WBSM News that the department is currently investigating an incident that occurred in the South End between two juveniles.
“During an argument, one juvenile produced a cutting instrument and caused a very minor cut to the other juvenile's shoulder,” police said. “Medics were called to examine, but no transport for further treatment was necessary.”

Police clarified that the incident did not occur on school grounds, and said that the juvenile is “too young to be charged with an offense.”
