NEW BEDFORD — A homeless New Bedford man arrested just last week for breaking into a downtown restaurant and stealing alcohol has been arrested again, this time for armed robbery.

New Bedford Police arrested 44-year-old Douglas Boice, along with 42-year-old Felix Acosta Cuadrado of County Street, early Wednesday morning in connection to a reported armed robbery on Pleasant Street.

The victim told police he was walking in the 600-block of Pleasant Street at about 1:43 a.m. when he was approached by two males and a female. The two males held him down, while the woman approached him with a knife and hit him with the weapon. The three robbed the man, then fled.

No injuries were reported.

Based on a description provided by the victim, police found the two men causing a disturbance in the 700-block of Pleasant Street.

Both Boice and Cuadrado are charged with armed robbery. Police are seeking a summons for a female involved in the incident.

Boice was arrested on February 9 for breaking into the Moby Dick Brewing Company on Union Street and stealing two bottles of alcohol.
