New Bedford, Fall River and Other SouthCoast School Cancellations
Schools across the SouthCoast will be closed on Tuesday with the impending storm on the horizon for tomorrow.
For Fall River and New Bedford students, public schools and all after-school activities are canceled for Tuesday, February 13. All buildings will be closed so crews can prepare for them to re-open on Wednesday. That includes Greater New Bedford Voc-Tech and Diman Vocational.
Also cancelling school Tuesday as of this writing are Dartmouth, Berkley, Fairhaven, Westport, Acushnet, Freetown-Lakeville, Somerset, Seekonk, Swansea, the Old Rochester Regional district, Old Colony, Middleboro, Wareham (including Upper Cape Regional Voc-Tech) and Taunton. Bishop Stang will have an "alternative learning day."
Make sure to check our school cancellation page for closure updates.
The city-wide parking ban in Fall River will also be in effect as of 6 p.m. tonight until further notice. New Bedford's parking ban will begin at midnight.
