Fall River Announces Parking Ban Ahead of Storm
FALL RIVER (WBSM) — Fall River Mayor Paul Coogan has announced a citywide parking ban ahead of the storm that is expected Monday night into Tuesday.
Current models predict varied snow totals for the SouthCoast, with the potential for up to eight inches.
The Fall River parking ban will begin Monday, February 12 at 6 p.m. and will last until further notice.
Parking will be allowed on the north side of all city streets that run east and west, and on the west side of all streets that run north and south. In most cases, that means no parking on the fire hydrant side.
The fine for violating the parking ban is $65. Any vehicle in violation of the ban is subject to being towed.
During the parking ban, parking is allowed at the following locations:
Flint Municipal Parking Lot on Cash Street
City of Fall River Municipal Parking Lot corner of Columbia Street and Hunter Street
