FALL RIVER (WBSM) — A New Bedford man was convicted of cocaine trafficking recently after a four-day jury trial in Fall River Superior Court.

Wilson Andino, 42, was subsequently sentenced to serve three-and-a-half to five-and-a-half years in state prison last week.

On February 4, 2022, New Bedford Police executed a search warrant at a Crapo Street address. When officers entered the residence, they found Andino essentially cooking crack cocaine for distribution on a kitchen stove.

Police observed Andino in the kitchen with a measuring cup filled with 99 grams of cocaine, spoons, knives, baking soda, and two pots of boiling water in front of him.

According to court documents, Andino had previously served another sentence for at least four other drug distribution cases dating back to the late 1990s.
