
New Bedford Man Arrested for Gun and Drug Possession in North End
NEW BEDFORD (WBSM) — Police arrested a New Bedford man for illegal gun and drug possession earlier this week in the North End.
The department said officers executed a search warrant on June 18 at 181 Earle Street that concluded a cocaine distribution investigation.
The suspect in the investigation was Daejhon Lino Gomes, 26.

As a result of the search, Gomes was allegedly found in possession of over nine grams of cocaine, 10 grams of mushrooms, packaging materials, digital scales,and over $200 in case that was seized as a result of his charges.
Police said Gomes was also found to have a loaded .38-caliber Smith & Wesson revolver, which was later found to have been stolen out of Dartmouth.
Gomes was taken into custody and charged with a variety of offenses, including unlawful possession of a stolen gun and ammunition, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, and possession of a Class C substance.
Back in 2021, he was arrested on drug trafficking charges after police found fentanyl and cocaine in his car during a vehicle search.
