New Bedford Credit Union Robbed, Suspects Sought
New Bedford Police are searching for two suspects involved in a bank robbery in the city this morning.
Detective Captain Steven Vicente says the New Bedford Credit Union on Purchase Street was robbed at about 9:30 this morning by a lone white male. No weapon was shown during the robbery.
The suspect fled the bank and met up with a black man who was waiting in the parking lot. Both men then ran west on Maxfield Street before splitting up.
New Bedford detectives are on the scene investigating the robbery.
