New Bedford Police Arrest Wanted Brockton Man
NEW BEDFORD (WBSM) — New Bedford Police have arrested a wanted Brockton man while also seizing an illegal firearm and drugs.
Police said that on the evening of July 17, narcotics detectives monitoring suspected drug activity stopped a vehicle near the intersection of County Street and Cedar Grove. The vehicle was being driven by Ermirio Rosa, 23, of Brockton.
According to police, Rosa was in possession of a Ruger 9mm handgun loaded with 17 rounds, which they said he had kept in a fanny pack.
He was also allegedly in possession of 25 grams of crack cocaine, 65 grams of fentanyl, 50 tablets of Adderall, and $1,050 in cash that was also seized due to the charges against him.
Detective Emily Pacheco took Rosa into custody, and it was learned that he had three active warrants out for his arrest.
One of the warrants was for drug and firearm charges out of Brockton District Court, another for heroin trafficking out of Bristol County Superior Court, and the third for traffic offenses out of Fall River District Court.
According to police, Rosa has a previous conviction in Taunton District Court for possession of a Class A substance with intent to distribute.
