The New Bedford Standard Times did a wonderful story about Marlene Tavares' life in 2007. She re-capped the most notable chapters in her rather interesting journey which took her from New Bedford to the Far-East and she went into detail about her diverse and rewarding work at Onboard Inc.

The problem is, in none of the many details she offered does she mention the 'elbow to elbow, door-to-door' work that she said made her feel like Hillary Rodham Clinton's speech on July 28, 2016, was speaking specifically to her. When Tavares heard that wheelchair anecdotal in the speech, “I felt like it was directed to me,’’ she said. “Everything came back.’’

So, now the witness, now 84, that the Standard Times accepts as credible enough to print that she was present when Hillary Rodham Clinton went door to door and found that little girl in a wheelchair on a back porch in 1973, 1) Is not in any Children's Defense Fund Record in 1973. Despite (6) others from her company, Onboard Inc being there on the record and every possible person who contributed noted in the report for all to see.

2) The Standard Times presents a person as a credible witness who they previously interviewed for the purpose of revisiting the most profound times in her life but she left out the amazing experience that she worked closely with the woman who would later become the 1st Lady of the United States, Hillary Rodham Clinton and more recently was the current New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton during that 2007 interview.

She seems to me to be the ultimate grandmother, a warm lady who I'd suggest everyone would want to hug at Shaw's or at her home. I just need a bit more convincing that she wasn't recruited and manipulated  by people taking advantage of her loyal personality.

So, yeah I don't know about you but I need some evidence...any evidence actually, before I buy it.
