The City of New Bedford is shouting down the state's decision to change the name of the New Bedford Marine Commerce Terminal. The state referred to the project as the Massachusetts or Southcoast Marine Commerce Terminal in press releases last week.

This caller thinks the city feels too entitled to the project and it's jobs. He says the jobs should center on level of skill, not locale.

State Senator Mark Montigny has stated he's trying to negotiate New Bedford's name back into the title of the Marine Commerce Terminal. He says legislation to do so would be a last resort.
