Mitchell Delivers State Of The City Address

Mayor Jon Mitchell delivered his annual State of the City address Tuesday, calling for a new Fairhaven bridge and increased economic competitiveness. Ward 2 City Councilor Steven Martins, however, said the address was short on specifics and that something needs to be done about New Bedford having the highest unemployment in the state.

Martins said the mayor is putting all his eggs in one basket by touting the jobs that will be created by the marine commerce terminal project.
