Middleboro Man Flown to Rhode Island Hospital After Motorcycle Crash

A Middleboro man sustains serious injuries after his motorcycle crashed into a car in Wareham.

Wareham Police say the accident took place Sunday night near the 700-block of County Road. Police say 61-year-old Stephen Wibben of Middleboro struck the passenger side of a Nissan sedan, driven by 76-year-old Edward Shea of Wareham.

Wibben taken by MedFlight to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries to his arms, legs, and head. He is reported to be in stable condition.

An investigation of the accident revealed Shea had turned left in front of the oncoming motorcycle. Shea has been cited for failure to yield to oncoming traffic.
