Menino Has Advanced Cancer

Former Boston Mayor Tom Menino is battling advanced cancer that has spread to his liver and lymph nodes. The cancer was diagnosed last month during an examination for chronic leg weakness. Doctors at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute say they have not been able find the primary source of the cancer.

The 71-year-old Menino is undergoing chemotherapy.
