Men Posing with Alleged Stolen Firearm Arrested in Seekonk Motel
SEEKONK - Two men are under arrest after Seekonk Police discover a stolen gun in a motel room.
Following an investigation, Seekonk Police secured a warrant for a guest room at Motel 6 at 821 Fall River Avenue.
Seekonk Police Patrol Officers, Detectives, a K-9 team, and members of the South Eastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council searched the room shortly after 12 a.m. Friday morning and found a stolen, loaded Glock 19 handgun, ammunition, two large capacity feeding devices, and a realistic-looking pellet gun.
Police arrested Tyler DeAndrade, 21, who has addresses in Carver and Fall River. DeAndrade is charged with possession of a loaded large capacity firearm, two counts of possession of a large capacity feeding device, unlawful possession of ammunition, and receiving stolen property over $250.
Police also arrested Robert T. Perry, 20, of Middleborough. Police say Perry had three outstanding warrants for his arrest out of New Bedford and Wareham District Courts.
DeAndrade was transported to Taunton District Court to face arraignment.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed.
Both DeAndrade and Perry posted pictures on social media earlier this month, posing with what appeared to be a loaded firearm.
