Urkel, the seven-year-old Hound mix, is available for adoption from Lighthouse Animal Shelter in New Bedford.

I'm a goofy hound. I'm friendly, outgoing and affectionate with people and I also like other dogs! I think everything is exciting and my happiness is contagious. My age doesn't affect me...I'm still a dog who will like to go on walks, adventures, and play with you in the yard. I promise to always put a smile on your face and keep you laughing at my goofy ways! I cannot live with cats as they’re just so much fun to chase!

Please contact the Lighthouse Animal Shelter for more information on Urkel. You can also start the adoption process online or schedule a time to meet him. Please send inquiries to lighthouseanimalshelter@gmail.com or call (508) 999-7387. View all dogs/cats for adoption at www.lighthouseanimalshelter.org.

Lighthouse Animal Shelter is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 organization that works to promote the welfare of animals at risk of euthanasia. In addition, we work with the community to maximize efforts in reducing pet overpopulation. We rescue all of our dogs from high-kill shelters down south (the majority being from Kentucky, South Carolina, and North Carolina) and transport them to our shelter for adoption. The adoption fee for all dogs is $375. This helps cover the cost of medical care received. All dogs are fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and microchipped.
