Mattapoisett Police Investigating Stabbing at Ned’s Point Lighthouse

MATTAPOISETT — Mattapoisett Police are investigating a stabbing that took place in the town Tuesday afternoon.

At approximately 4 p.m. Tuesday, Mattapoisett Police received a report of a party that had been stabbed at the Ned’s Point Lighthouse.

Officers located the victim, who was transported to Rhode Island Hospital by EMS. Police say the victim is in stable condition.

According to police, the investigation revealed that this is an isolated incident, and both the suspect and victim were known to each other. They say there is no threat to the public.

The case is ongoing, and all names are being withheld at this time.
