Massachusetts Gov. Healey: Idea of Third Trump Term ‘Disturbing’
Elected officials in Massachusetts, almost all Democrats, have not had it easy since President Donald Trump moved back to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. It wasn't supposed to happen this way.
Some find the hand-wringing, naysaying, whining, moaning, groaning and utter irritability about everything Trump does as annoying as it is predictable. That would include me.
I've lost count of how many lawsuits Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Campbell has filed or joined, challenging one Trump initiative or another.
Boston Mayor Michelle Wu's defiance is childish and dangerous.

Governor Maura Healey seems particularly annoyed by Trump's very existence. She has run around like Henny Penny, shrieking that the sky is falling since Trump promised to rid the federal budget of waste, fraud and abuse.
What is objectionable about ridding the federal budget of waste, fraud and abuse? We should try it with the Commonwealth's budget next. Does anyone know Elon Musk's cell number?
Trump is a master at triggering folks like Sen. Liz Warren, Sen. Ed Markey, Rep. Seth Moulton and Gov. Healey. It's the art of the trigger. They take the bait over and over again.
Trump recently told NBC News he was "not joking" about perhaps seeking a third term, suggesting there are ways around the 22nd Amendment limiting a president to two terms.
"There are methods which you could do it," Trump told NBC.
Healey took the bait!
State House News Service reported Healey responded to Trump's comments in less than 24 hours.
"It's very disturbing and alarming as somebody who practiced constitutional law, and I think for anybody who understands the face of democracy and how things have worked in this country," Healey told a reporter.
As I said, this noise is as annoying as it is predictable.
For members of the press and the Democrat Party, you're in for a long four years. You can continue to sop up the bait or learn to smile and say nothing.
I enjoy the hysteria, so keep on doing what you're doing.
