The man wanted in the bludgeoning deaths of a Marshfield couple has been arrested in Florida.

Police found Christopher Keeley, 27, in Miami Beach Friday night, the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office said in a news release.

The arrest came three days after the bodies of Carl and Vicki Mattson were found bludgeoned and stabbed in their Marshfield home. The 70-year-old victims were pronounced dead on the scene.

Marshfield and State Police quickly identified Keeley as a person of interest in the double homicide, issuing lookout alerts for the Weymouth man and a 2019 black Jeep Wrangler. Investigators found the unoccupied Jeep at an Avon parking lot, the DA said.

A dog initially reported missing from the 75 Gotham Hill Drive crime scene was found dead inside the home. "Veterinary follow-up is being conducted," the DA said.

Keeley will next have a hearing to determine whether he will waive rendition before his return to Massachusetts to face charges.
