A Massachusetts brewery just north of Plymouth is experiencing the kind of frenzy most places only dream of.

Stellwagen Beer Company in Marshfield can barely keep its latest lager on the shelves right now. According to CBS News, beer lovers and New England football fans alike are driving miles out of their way just to get a taste of a brew that blends Seinfeld humor with Patriots fandom.

The beer is called “Love The Drake,” a light, crushable 4.6 percent lager inspired by rookie quarterback Drake Maye, and the can design alone is brilliant if you're a fan of the long-running hit television sitcom Seinfeld.

Between the Patriot's renewed playoff buzz, the excitement surrounding Maye, and the instantly recognizable can art, the beer has been selling out faster than the brewery can brew it. Long lines, empty coolers, and the vibes of Black Friday 3 a.m. long lines outside Best Buy have become the norm.

Here’s the wild part: Marshfield is still roughly a 55-minute drive from New Bedford, yet people are making the trek without hesitation. Based on the demand, it’s no mystery why. This beer has become a full-on destination experience.

A SouthCoast Idea Worth Brewing

That got me thinking: it would be awesome to see Fall River's Canned Heat Craft Beer jump on the Patriots bandwagon with a Mike Vrabel-inspired beer.

Vrabel embodies tough, demanding, no-nonsense leadership. He's a fiery “dawg” who’s hands-on, pushes fundamentals, and expects effort every single rep (or in this case, sip). He also builds genuine bonds, celebrates success, and earns respect through hard work and appreciation.

Just as a good beer should be and taste.

Just an idea, but if Stellwagen’s “Love The Drake” is any indication, Patriots-inspired pours might be the hottest thing New England can’t get enough of right now.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
