Manny Is a Bright Teen Looking for a Family in Massachusetts or Rhode Island
Manny is a bright, outgoing teenager who wanted to create their profile in their own words.
"I'm an outgoing and amiable teen that loves music, books and learning. People who know me would say 'I'm wise beyond my years,' and I'd agree. I identify as genderfluid and go by any pronoun. I'm a rising 10th grader who excels academically; I love math and history. I have an IEP to support me socially and emotionally in class," they wrote.
"Outside of school I like to roller skate and play the piano (not at that same time!) I don't have a preference on any sort of family demographics," they wrote. "I am Hispanic and would like to keep contact with my sister in Florida. It's important to me to stay in the Mass/RI area because I want to stay close to the community I have built."
Who Can Adopt?
If you’re at least 18, have a stable source of income and have room in your heart, you may be a perfect match to adopt a waiting child.
Adoptive parents can be single, married or partnered; experienced or not; renters or homeowners; LGBTQ+ singles and couples.
As an adoptive parent, you won’t have to pay any fees. Adoption from foster care is completely free in Massachusetts.
Adopting a child from foster care includes training, interviews and home visits to determine if adoption is right for you. These steps will help match you with a child or sibling group that will be a good fit.
To learn more about adoption from foster care, call the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) at (617) 964-6273 or visit www.mareinc.org. Start the process today and give a waiting child a permanent place to call home.
