Meet Jacob the Teen Who Spends His Weekends Cooking for Senior Citizens
Jacob is smart, creative, and full of heart and he’s this week's Tuesday's Child. Jacob is ready to find the forever family he deserves.
A Kid With a Gift for Giving Back
Jacob is part of a culinary class that does something truly special. Every Friday, he heads to the Norwood Senior Center to cook for older adults and teach them how to use new technology. It is the kind of thing that tells you everything you need to know about who Jacob is. "I go over there on Fridays and cook for the seniors," he said. "I'm very loving, caring and I'm very helpful."
What Makes Jacob Unique
Jacob expresses himself through music, including signing his favorite songs in American Sign Language. He loves gardening, baking, and creating things with care and creativity. At school, Jacob is thriving academically and is known for helping fix computers and printers. He has a special love for 3D printing and proudly calls himself the "3D Printer Administrator."
What is Jacob Looking for in a Forever Family?
"I just want somebody that would love me like an actual family would," says Jacob. He values deep relationships and has strong bonds with both his peers and teachers. Looking ahead, Jacob has clear goals including getting his driver's license, graduating high school, and finding a job he is proud of.
