Man Wanted in Fall River Stabbing Turns Himself In
FALL RIVER — A man wanted for stabbing another person last weekend has turned himself into Fall River Police.
Last Sunday, officers were called to "Tent City" on Brayton Avenue in Fall River in regards to a stabbing. They were told by a witness that three men who were fishing attempted to collect some wood for a campfire. As they were taking the wood from the "Tent City" area...a man living there told the fishermen to leave.
After an ax was thrown in their direction, a fight erupted. During the fight, one man was stabbed in the chest. He was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
On Thursday afternoon, Allen Weeks, 32, turned himself in to Fall River Police. Weeks was charged with assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon.
