According to WCVB 5, officers used pepper spray to disarm a man who was threatening bystanders with a two-pronged grilling fork in Boston’s neighborhood of Roxbury.

Police were called to the scene to Washington Street at around 1:45pm Monday witnesses said that the 35-year-old man was terrorizing people with the fork. The man also threatened to stab employees at the Boston Transitional Clubhouse before law enforcement arrived.

The suspect was pepper-sprayed after reportedly refusing to be taken by police. He has been charged with assault and battery, assault with a dangerous weapon, and other related charges.
