A man shot by Dartmouth Police is facing arraignment following his release from the hospital.

Gregg Miliote, a spokesman with the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, says that 23-year-old Ryan Kuphal of Dartmouth has been released from Rhode Island Hospital and has waived rendition in Rhode Island.

Kuphal is being charged with domestic assault and battery, use of a motor vehicle without authority, larceny over $250, unarmed robbery of a person over 60 years old, and unarmed carjacking.

He is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday in New Bedford District Court.

The two officers involved in the incident were, according to procedure, placed on administrative leave during the course of an investigation into the matter.
