Man Charged With Trafficking Heroin

A New Bedford man was arraigned Monday on drug charges, after his arrest over the weekend.

Narcotics Detectives carried out a search warrant Friday at 83 Pawnee Court in the Shawmut Village complex and arrested 24 year old Ian Arango, who lived in the apartment.

Detectives found 32 grams of heroin, a small amount of cocaine, about $3,500 in cash, along with a digital scale and packaging material.

Arango is facing charges of trafficking heroin and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
