Man Arrested In Connection to Fatal Fall River Shooting
FALL RIVER — A man has been arrested in connection to the Friday night homicide on Bedford Street in Fall River, and will be arraigned this afternoon in Fall River District Court.
Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn III says 25-year-old Joseph Noe turned himself in at the Fall River Police Station Monday and has been placed under arrest.
Noe is charged with one count of murder, one count of unlawful discharge of a firearm within 500 feet of a building and two counts of assault and battery by means of a firearm. He’s slated to be arraigned sometime around 2:00 p.m. on Monday in Fall River District Court.
An arrest warrant for the defendant was issued Saturday night.
At around 10:15 p.m. Friday night, police responded to JC's Cafe, located at 1050 Bedford Street, for a report of a shooting with multiple victims. When police arrived, they located 39-year-old Eric Voshell, of Oak Bluffs, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was rushed to Charlton Memorial Hospital and was later transferred to Rhode Island Hospital, where he died on Saturday morning.
Two other apparent gunshot victims include a 37-year-old Fall River man and a 23-year-old Bridgewater man, were also transported to area hospitals for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation is being conducted by Assistant District Attorneys Michael Cahillane and Shawn Guilderson, Fall River Police and Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the district attorney’s office.
