Make Drug Dealers Liable

Imagine a local products liability law for illegal drugs. Now think of New Bedford "market liability" legislation that would force illegal drug dealers to pay damages for the injuries and/or death caused directly by the illegal drugs they sell. Drug Dealer Liability laws have been around for more than 20 years, sometimes ruled unconstitutional, we have to figure out another way to approach this idea of holding drug dealers responsible for drug deaths that their heroin and fentanyl directly caused.

Rest assured, the law would be appealed all the way to the Supreme Court, but with a more conservative bench coming, maybe something like this would have a chance.
