Local Girl Headed to Augusta National Before The Masters

Alexandra Chicharro a 12-year old from Fall River is heading to Augusta National to compete in the national Drive, Chip & Putt finals on Sunday.  Alexandra 'A.J.' won the honor by coming in first place winning the New England Drive, Chip & Putt qualifier at Pine Hills Country Club last August.  A.J. is one of 11 in her age group that will be competing on Sunday, she is a member of Fall River Country Club.  The Golf Channel will cover the Drive, Chip & Putt competition with pregame action as well.  Alexandra is expected to start the competition at 9:30 Sunday morning, by the way her best score for 18 holes was a 77!  Look for big things from this talented golfer who is also a competitor in soccer and swimming.
