Iconic Massachusetts-Based Film Getting Its Own Lego Set
Attention all LEGO lovers! Are you looking to include another iconic LEGO set to your collection? How about a set that celebrates a legendary Steven Spielberg film?
The new LEGO set will honor the 1975 blockbuster, Massachusetts-based film Jaws and will feature several main characters and fan-favorite set pieces from the film.
The Creator of the Jaws LEGO Set
The original concept for the new set came from a LEGO fan named Johnny Campbell who is a huge fan of the film.
"I've spent a long time perfecting my build to ensure I capture every single detail at mini figure scale," he said."I've even re-watched 'Jaws' several times over to ensure I could capture every detail as accurately as possible,".
With the username Diving Face, Campbell sent his idea to the LEGO's Ideas Community Platform, and in May, he got confirmation from the team at LEGO that "Jaws" was approved for production.
"We're very excited to release Diving Face's Jaws project as our next LEGO ideas set!" said the team at LEGO.

What to Expect
The LEGO set will include the iconic Orca boat and the most notorious shark in the world. Three minifigures of the iconic main characters complete the set: Martin Brody (police chief), Matt Hooper (scientist), and Sam Quint (salty fisherman).
The orca boat LEGO piece has an extremely detailed cabin interior with a removable roof, adjustable boom and rigging, lots of shark/fishing equipment, and the famous yellow barrels.
It is a pretty big display measuring 59 cm (23 inches) wide, and 35 cm (14 inches) tall, with 1,497 pieces to assemble.
Display the shark on its own or have it chase the Orca when placed on the brick-built seawater base.
Fans will also be happy to see Martin Brody's famous line "You're gonna need a bigger boat" printed on the seawater base.
LEGO insiders will get the first chance to own this outstanding LEGO set with a release date of August 3rd ahead of the general public release on August 6th, with a set price of $149.99.
Keep an eye out for the Jaws set in LEGO stores and online.
