Layoffs At Southcoast Health

Southcoast Health has announced they will be laying off 70 employees.

Spokesman Peter Cohenno says the organization has experienced a three percent shortfall in their operating budget and they will have to make some "reductions in expenditures" as a result.

Their was no word on when the layoffs will begin or what departments will be affected.

The layoffs will impact roughly one percent of Southcoast Health's 7,200 employees.
