John "Buddy" Andrade has been working on community issues in New Bedford for 40 years. Whether the issue has been curbing violence among young people, finding employment for minority residents, organizing candidate forums during election years, or tackling environmental injustice, Andrade has been an outspoken advocate for "doing the right thing."

Andrade joins Jim Phillips this week on Townsquare Sunday to discuss neighborhood violence in New Bedford, and what he and others are doing to stop it. Buddy also has some hard-hitting advice for parents. You can listen here:
