Jimmy Carter: Cancer Is Gone

Former President Jimmy Carter says the cancer in his brain is gone.

The 91-year-old Carter made the announcement today at a Sunday School class he was teaching in Plains, Georgia.

He told the congregation that when he went to get an MRI exam this past week, they didn't find any cancer at all.  The congregation applauded upon hearing the news.

He added that a lot of people prayed for him, and he appreciated it.  It was back in August that Carter announced he was being treated for melanoma spots on his brain. (Metro Networks Inc.)
