Renovation of the Oscar Romero House at County and Allen Streets is now complete.

State and local officials were joined by Bishop George Coleman in cutting the ribbon Tuesday.

Catholic Social Services will manage the property.  Director Arlene McNamee called the project a close call, money-wise

Ward Five City Councilor Jane Gonsalves is happy to see the building renovated, and people living there....

The apartment  house contains 12 units for the poor and needy.  Four of the units are earmarked for persons referred by the Dept. Of Mental Health.

More than 100 people applied for the remaining eight units. Those tenants will be selected by lottery.
