Bishop Coleman Honored At Thanksgiving Mass

A Mass of Thanksgiving on Tuesday at St. Mary's Cathedral in Fall River for retiring Bishop George Coleman.

Coleman has served as Bishop in the Fall River Diocese for 11 years and will soon reach the 50th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood .

Among those invited to Tuesday's mass were clergy members, representatives of parishes and schools, and spiritual groups.  A reception followed at White's of Westport.

The new bishop, Edgar Moreira Da Cunha from New Jersey, will take over on September 24th.
