FREETOWN - A Stop & Shop cargo trailer caught fire Sunday at the Freetown distribution center.

The Freetown Fire Department, on it's Facebook page, says the fire was reported just before 3 P.M. Sunday, with crews responding to find a refrigerated trailer at one of the center's loading docks fully involved in fire. The fire had extended into the warehouse through the loading dock, but the building's sprinkler system held the flames at bay.

Firefighters were able to quickly bring the fire under control with crews remaining on scene to conduct ventilation and salvage operations in the building.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
