Harry Conick Jr., Jennifer Lopez Named As ‘American Idol’ Judges

Harry Connick Jr. and Jennifer Lopez will be at the judges table along with Keith Urban for the 13th season of "American Idol." 

Long-time Idol judge Randy Jackson will also return, but his role has been redefined as an "in-house mentor."  Ryan Seacrest is once again on board as host.  Fox TV executives call J-Lo a "triple-threat global superstar," while Connick is described as a "bonafide musical genius."

Returning judge and country music star Urban released a statement saying he thinks this season of Idol "is gonna be a blast."  "Idol" returns to a TV set near you in January.
