Patrick says the task force will come up with a model school security plan that school districts can adapt to ensure students, teachers and school staff stay safe in emergency situations. The task force, made up of officials from a number of state agencies, will be asked to develop recommendations to help schools prepare and update safety plans and draft school-based training and exercise programs.
