Governor Charlie Baker has ordered that flags be lowered to half-staff at all state buildings Friday in honor of the four U.S. Marines killed in Tennessee.

Officials tell the Associated Press a gunman unleashed a barrage of fire at a recruiting center and another U.S. military site a few miles apart in Chattanooga Thursday, killing at least four marines.

One of the Marines killed has been identified as 40-year-old Springfield native Gunnery Sgt. Thomas Sullivan.

The attacker, identified as Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez, was also killed.
