Giammalvo’s Auto Closing

It's the end of an era in Greater New Bedford.  Sam Giammalvo's Auto Sales has sold the last of its used cars, marking the end of a half century of "the one you know, the one you trust". Glenn Giammalvo, who owns the shop with his brother Mark, says that everything has its time.

Giammalvo said business has been slow over the last several years and it hasn't gotten any better since their dad, the legendary "Sam" Giammalvo, died a year ago.

The plan now is to downsize and focus on the shop's repair services, maybe in a different location.
