FRPD Arrest Man Suspected of Two Bank Robberies, Break-Ins

FALL RIVER —The man suspected in multiple bank robberies and house break-ins has been apprehended by investigators in Fall River.

Fall River Police say arrest warrants were issued Monday for Gilbert Cordeiro, who has been identified as the suspect of the St. Anthony of Padua bank robbery, the Rockland Trust bank robbery, a House Break on Pearce Street, a larceny from a building on Milliken Blvd, and a larceny on Hanover Street.

According to lead Detective Luis Vertentes, Cordeiro was spotted by Detective Dwaine Cabeceiras and taken into custody after a short foot chase.
