It takes a certain type of person to be comfortable with being on video 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In reality, there's likely no one who's comfortable under those conditions, but some of us could fare better than others.

If you think you wouldn't shrink under the limelight of letting a national audience watch your every move, you might want to talk to the producers of CBS's Big Brother.

An open casting call for the long-running CBS reality show will happen at Foxwoods Resort Casino on Wednesday, April 3, 2 to 6 p.m.

While it's not for everyone, Big Brother offers a chance for people not only to compete for a life-altering grand prize of $750,000, but also gain instant national attention as a "housemate."

Big Brother will select housemates from the pool of applicants. Contestants will agree to live in the Big Brother house in Los Angeles for 100 days. Twelve strangers will share the house with virtually no privacy.

Producers are requiring contestants to be in excellent physical and mental health.

However, as we've seen on the SouthCoast, sometimes that attention is more than you bargained for.  Earlier this year, one of the contestants on ABC's The Bachelor, a Dartmouth native named Sydney Gordon, said she was verbally bullied for her exposure on the show, including being subjected to death threats.
