The Baker Administration is awarding grants totaling almost $400,000 for workforce training at four New Bedford businesses.

The recipients include AHEAD LLC, H-T-P, Nameplates for Industry Inc., and Poyant Signs Inc.

State Senator Mark Montigny says the grant money will be used to train 321 employees and create 20 new jobs.  "We're all trying to land big business in our state and community, as we should, but most of the jobs are created at businesses like these," says Montigny.

The Workforce Training Fund was created by the Legislature in 1998 to provide resources to Masschusetts businesses to improve the skills of their employees.
