Four Arrested on Prostitution Charges in New Bedford’s North End

NEW BEDFORD — New Bedford Police arrested four people Tuesday as part of an investigation into prostitution in the city's North End.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested four people on charges of sexual conduct for a fee.

Those arrested were: Clifton Jefferson, 25, of 32 White St. Apt. 2, Taunton; Kelly J. Silva, 39, of 150 Tallman St., New Bedford; Jessica Belcher, 28, of 556 County St., New Bedford; and Bonniemae M. Germano, 49, of 596 County St. Apt. 1, New Bedford.

The arrests were made between 10:41 a.m. and 2:47 p.m.
