FALL RIVER (1420 WBSM) — Three people have been arrested in connection with a pair of shots fired incidents in Fall River over this past weekend, and a fourth suspect remains at large.

First, Fall River Police responded to the area of Locust Street and Linden Street on Friday, November 11 at around 2:45 p.m. on reports of shots fired.

Police said they found several spent shell casings in the immediate area, but no injuries were reported. They said it was reported that two males were in an argument moments before the shots were fired.

Then at about 10:20 p.m. on Sunday, November 13, officers were dispatched to Chaves Market on a report of shots fired in the area. They were also advised while en route that a vehicle had crashed into the market and the occupants had fled the scene.

Police arrived to find the vehicle but could not find its occupants. They say they were able to determine that a shooting occurred in this area as well and that the two incidents of shots fired were connected.

According to police, Officer Mitchell Walsh, the lead investigator, was able to identify Steven Redondo-Morales, 20, of Fall River as the individual allegedly responsible for the shooting on Locust Street.

Police said Detective Adam Talbot identified Erick Cora-Acosta, 18, as the individual allegedly responsible for the shooting incident in the area of Chaves Market.

Cora-Acosta was taken into police custody on Monday, November 14 without incident. He is charged with carrying a firearm without a license to carry, carrying a loaded firearm in public without a license, discharging a firearm within 500 feet. of a dwelling, attempt to commit assault and battery by discharging a firearm, and vandalism.

Also arrested in connection with the Chaves Market incident were Brendon Bindig, 25, and Savannah Soares, 26, both of Fall River. Both were charged with witness intimidation. Police pointed out that Soares was one of 17 individuals arrested in a joint narcotics operation conducted with the Massachusetts State Police on November 2.

Redondo-Morales remains at large. He is charged with attempting to commit assault and battery by discharging a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm in public without a license, carrying a firearm without a license, and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling.
